LexPilotis editorially independent. Rankings, verified badges and Editor's Picks are never for sale. A firm or tool cannot pay to rank higher, to be marked verified, or to remove criticism. Placement reflects our editorial assessment of the public record — nothing else.
How we make money
We keep the site free to use through two clearly-labelled sources: display advertising, and affiliate links on some outbound buttons (mainly AI legal tools). When a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. These arrangements never affect our scores, rankings or what we choose to cover. Advertising is visually separated from editorial content, and affiliate links are disclosed on the pages where they appear.
How we review
Law firms are assessed on credibility, transparency, accessibility and focus; AI legal tools on capability, usability, value and trust. Verification means we have confirmed licensing and standing against public records — it is earned through review, not bought. The exact scoring criteria are published on our methodology page.
Sourcing & corrections
Facts — pricing, ratings, features, case details — are drawn from public sources, and listings record when they were last checked. We review listings periodically and welcome corrections: if something is out of date or wrong, use the “Suggest an edit” link on any page or contact us. We do not publish AI-generated content without human editorial review, and we do not invent data.
