The question

I was involved in an accident in MD and had to have rotator cuff arthroscopic surgery. Liability carrier has offered their limits of $50K. My underinsured coverage would give me another $50K max. Did an asset check and husband/wife has a home with about $150K in equity. If I file suit against them how long does it normally take and if I get a judgment against them is it hard to collect?
