The question

In a scenario where somebody took items from an UNLOCKED vehicle in a parking lot….but returned the items and cooperated with investigators. No forced entry, or property damage.Items were not of high value, and they were also returned. No prior convictions or charges. The defendant was also ongoing medical treatment with different medications and was switched several different types of medications to find appropriate treatment by her psychologist. Some medications they stopped taking due to negative side effects. They have been very fearful,as the DA is seeking to charge that person with a felony conviction. Defendant had a newborn at the time of the incident that they needed to care for along with another infant. Due to this and their natural fear, they have avoided resolving the matter. They have not been in any other trouble since, and also going to college with high qualifications. They regret it deeply and have never been in a situation like this. Will they succeed at felony conviction
