When the clock starts in Nebraska

In most Nebraska cases the deadline runs from the date of the injury, breach, or harm. But some claims use the "discovery rule," where the clock starts when you knew or reasonably should have known about the harm. Deadlines can also pause for minors or people who are legally incapacitated, and claims against a city, county, or state agency usually carry a separate, much shorter notice deadline. These rules decide your real deadline, so don't rely on the table alone.
