Alaska's method
Percentage of Income model
Support is set as a percentage of the paying parent's income, scaled to the number of children. The custodial parent's income is generally not part of the base calculation.
Getting your actual number
This page explains the method — it doesn't calculate your amount. For an estimate, use Alaska's official child-support guidelines worksheet or calculator (search "Alaska child support calculator" on your state's judicial or child-support-services website). Because parenting time, add-ons, and judicial discretion all change the result, treat any online figure as a starting point and confirm it with a Alaska family-law attorney.
