Do I and others like me have a case against this college?
Apologies if this is in the wrong category but it seemed the most accurate other than perhaps consumer fraud. I went to college and received a degree in Sustainable Energy Management. However, as an engineer who visited the school pointed out to me, the degree program does not certify or prepare you in any way to become an energy manager or anything even remotely like that. The degree program is fairly new and was clearly poorly done with little to no oversight to ensure it was handled well. It would appear that this would be like having a degree with the term engineer in it just to then give one a degree that in no way prepares or certifies them as a qualified engineer. Also the school boasted and regularly mentioned that somewhere around 90% of all graduates find a job within their field shortly after graduating but this hasn't happened for me. Is this grounds for bringing legal action on the basis of consumer fraud, misrepresentation, false advertising or something of that ilk?

Can I sue my attorney for malpractice? PART TWO
This burden should NEVER have been placed on my ex. Furthermore, my divorce decree stated the monies made from the eventual sale of the home would be split 70%/30% in my favor, which was to be for the entire security of my future. I am mentally disabled, suffering from Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am unable to work. These circumstances have only served to exacerbate my conditions as my present husband is right now unable to retire (he is almost 69) & things like future income/pension are totally unk. at this point. My share of the money from selling the home would have relieved us of all our possible future security woes. I would never have proceeded with the bankruptcy had the lawyer explained the potential problems involved because of my "attachment" to my former home. This has highly affected me & sadly for no fair reason, my ex has been made to suffer also. Please tell me I have some recourse. Thank you very much for your help.

My college just billed me for a "forgotten" tuition charge that happened January of 2018. Can they legally put a hold on my student account for that?
I made a payment in the amount of $1,800+ through my checking account. My bank had flagged the payment because it was a large amount and I never had a payment that large before being withdrawn. I waited for the balance to show up in my student account but it never did. I just went about my life not thinking too much into it. Almost two years later, my school sends me a certified letter saying that i owe them immediately for an invalid payment they didn't catch. Rightfully so, I do owe them, but they're not letting me set up a payment plan or anything and they said I cant attend their school unless I pay the money in full. What can I do about this situation? I didn't even know a school could do that. I'm so close to graduating and I need to finish this semester.
